Things to do in Huntsville

Biergarten, U.S. Space & Rocket Center - Thursdays during the summer, 4:30-7:30 pm. Have dinner with a Saturn V Rocket and a moon rock.
Concerts on the Dock at Lowe Mill - Friday in fall ans spring. Bring lawn chairs, beer and wine and watch a concert on the loading dock of a historic factory turned into art studios. There are food trucks (Chef Will The Palate is the best) or bring your own.
Lowe Mill Outdoor Market - Check their schedule. You can browse the market outside and the galleries inside.

Hiking
- Land Trust of North Alabama - 70+ miles of trails in and around Huntsville. We recommend the Monte Sano Nature Preserve and Green Mountain Nature Preserve trails.
- Monte Sano State Park - Some nice views from the overlook and close to town.
- Walls of Jericho - About an hour from town. A big hike with some creek crossings and a big payoff at the end.
Kayaking on the Flint River - A fun float through woods and next to bluffs. Two outfitters: NACK and Brown Bear.
Cathedral Caverns State Park - Not too far from Huntsville and a good way to get out of the heat.
Huntsville Greenways - A number of paved trails for walking and running.

Campus 805 - The old Stone Middle School is now a entertainment venue featuring a brewery and restaurants. See if you can find the speakeasy hidden behind lockers.
Stovehouse - An old stove factory turned into an entertainment spot with several restaurants, a beer cooperative and live music most nights.
Downtown Huntsville - Head downtown where you can grab a purple cup of beer or wine to go and walk around the entertainment district, including the lake at Big Spring Park. There are a lot of great restaurants to check out. Our favorites are Beezr and Domaine South. A little more upscale is Cotton Row. SiP is great for craft cocktails.
For coffee we can recommend Gold Sprint Coffee, Honest Coffee, Charlie Foster’s. There’s a Craft Coffee Trail, too.
Piper and Leaf Tea Co. - A few locations around town, but if you’re at Lowe Mill, get it there.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment - Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is the largest privately owned arts facility in the southern United States. With a focus on visual arts, this huge historic factory building has been redeveloped into 152 working studios for over 200 artists and makers, 7 galleries, a theatre, community garden, and performance venues.

Straight to Ale - Has a good menu of burgers and bar food.
Green Bus - Downtown Huntsville, so you can grab a purple cup to go and walk around.
Chandlers Ford - Also downtown and you can get great food here (It’s part of Beezr).
